New Hampshire Sno-Shakers Snowmobile Club
Search and Rescue Drill
|
NH Sno-Shakers particpated in a mock search and rescue drill that was held in Canterbury on Sunday, March 22, 2003. Emergency personnel and vehicles from the towns of Canterbury, Loudon, and Penacook participated. NH Fish & Game folks were also there. The mock drill consisted of 2 lost and injured cross country skiers and was held in the woods between Shaker Road and Baptist Hill Road. The NH Sno-Shaker's team of volunteers arrived and provided their support when it was time to transport the 2 cross country ski victims safely out of the woods. This was a great opportunity for all involved to experience a real-world rescue situation as well as a chance to practice teamwork and communication skills. We look forward to helping with another mock drill next year. |
